How it works

The four steps

1. You tell us the job. Four short questions: what the roof needs, where the house is, when you need it done and how to reach you. About a minute. No account, no app.
2. A person checks it. Someone on our team reads every enquiry during business hours, Monday to Saturday. Leaks and emergencies go to the front.
3. One roofer gets it. We choose a member roofer who works in your area and does that kind of job, and they receive your enquiry alone. Never a crowd, never a bidding war.
4. They contact you. Usually within a working day. From there it is between you and the roofer: they look at the roof, quote, and do the work.

What we check before a roofer gets your enquiry

• Your phone number is a working New Zealand number.
• It is not a duplicate of an enquiry we already have.
• It is not spam or a test.
• The address is real and in an area we cover.
• It is a roofing job, within the services our members do.
• The request is genuine. For larger jobs, such as a re-roof or a new roof, we usually phone you first to understand the work and book a time for the roofer to visit.

What we do not do

• We do not send your details to more than one roofer.
• We do not see or take a cut of the quote. The roofer pays us a membership and for the enquiry; you pay nothing.
• We do not guarantee a price or the work. The contract is between you and the roofer. We do follow up to check they made contact, and roofers who do not keep their place.

Afterwards

A few days after we pass a job on, we may phone or email to ask whether the roofer got in touch. It takes a minute, and it is how we keep the roofers on their toes.
