• Dripping or a wet patch on a ceiling or wall during or after rain
• A stain that keeps growing
• Water around a chimney, skylight, vent or where two roof planes meet
• Storm damage: lifted sheets, broken tiles, a tree branch

What the roofer will do

1. Make the roof safe and dry first if the weather allows
2. Trace the leak to its source, which may be a flashing, a fixing, a cracked tile or blocked spouting
3. Repair it, and tell you if there is a wider problem
