Roof painting

Painting a roof is mostly preparation: washing, treating moss and rust, repairing fixings, priming. The coat on top is the easy part, and a roof painted without that work peels within a couple of years.

Tell us about the roof and what you want. One roofer in your area who paints and coats roofs gets your enquiry.

Signs you need this

• Faded, chalky or peeling paint
• A colour change to suit new cladding or a renovation
• Light surface rust that should be treated before it spreads
• A pre-sale freshen-up

What the roofer will do

1. Check the roof is sound enough to be worth painting
2. Wash, treat, repair, prime and apply the coating system
3. Tell you the expected life of the finish and the maintenance it needs

How it works with us

1. You tell us the job. Where the house is, what you have noticed, how urgent it is, and a photo if it is safe to take one.
2. A person checks it. Someone on our team reads every enquiry. We are not a form that forwards itself.
3. One roofer gets it. A roofer who works in your area and does this kind of job. Only one, so you are not fielding ten calls.
4. They contact you. Usually within a working day, to talk through the job and arrange a look.
